 Our unique approach to development

Our approach to development could be described as working in the same way as DNA. A chain of DNA is made up of lots of sections of biological ‘code’. Like DNA, the functions of a website or extranet are coded – for example, a form on a website page requires a specific set of commands in code. Therefore, like a gene, fixed chains of code provide specific functions.

We develop systems using existing chains of code and new chains that we build. What this means for you is that if you want a content management system, we will already have some coding in our library that we can re-use to meet some of your requirements. Then we will write new pieces of code for the sections of a system that are unique to your business. We then bind these pre-existing and new pieces of code together in the same way as DNA to deliver a system developed to meet your exact requirements and unique to you.

The clever part though, is that by using some pre-existing code we can deliver your systems much more quickly and cost effectively than another developer who would build everything from scratch. The other advantage for you is that you know these solutions have been tried and tested before and that they work successfully for other businesses.

We call the systems that we develop ‘nexus’. The dictionary definition of nexus is ‘a link or tie, the core or centre’ and we think this is a pretty good way of describing both what our systems do and how we work. nexus systems offer real, tangible benefits to any business.
